ArtOnBrighton Festival, New York
Announcing ArtOnBrighton - a two-day art and music festival that will take place at the NY Aquarium and on the Brighton Beach strip of Brooklyn on October 1st and 2nd.
The ArtOnBrighton festival will feature video, installation art, and music performances along the Brighton Beach Boardwalk, a multimedia exhibition, poetry readings, and concert at the New York Aquarium, and Nosh Walks - a walking food tour of Eastern European cuisine. The night will end with a giant party at the New York Aquarium with musical performances by the talented cabaret singer and accordion virtuoso Mira Stroika, Svetlana Shmulyian, the Beachniks, and The Sway Machinery featuring guitarist Jeremiah Lockwood of Balkan Beat Box, all followed by a dance party spun by DJ Spinach.
The festival runs from 5-11pm on Saturday and 2-4pm on Sunday. Happy Hour will be from 6-7pm on Saturday with free wine and music.
To reach the Boardwalk, take the Q train to the Ocean Parkway stop in Brooklyn. The NY Aquarium is located on Surf Avenue & West 8th Street in Brooklyn.
This is a project of COJECO, sponsored by the UJA-Federation of New York, in partnership with the NY Aquarium, the office of Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny and Brighton Business Association.
