Izhar Patkin: The Wandering Veil, Tel Aviv Museum of Art
The Tel Aviv Museum of Art presents a series of screen paintings, originating from a collaboration between Izhar Patkin (living in the USA since 1977) and exiled Kashmiri poet Agha Shaid Ali (1949–2001). Multi-nationality, politics of identity, narratives, a mixture of high and low culture, theatricality and the decorative have been at the core of Patkin's work since his early days. Held in cooperation with Tefen Open Museum, the show will travel to the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in 2013.
