Eye Of The Sea will include existing and new works by Yael Efrati, who will conduct research in Romania and explore integrating her personal and familial ties to Romania into her artistic practice. The show, vacillating between photography and sculpture, will focus on the impact of light in both media, specifically how the sun can “burn” an imprint onto objects. The time that such a process takes and the imprint left mark the passing of time and speak to the physical and metaphysical mutability of memory itself. Eye Of The Sea is curated by Artis research trip alum Nicola Trezzi.
